I started GMCI School of Excellence as a Christian independant school in Nongoma, a deep rural area in the heart of Zululand- KwaZulu- Natal. This was propelled by two factors, the first being the need for children in our community to access the privilege to learn and be exposed to English as a medium of instruction at their tender age. Secondly, the experience of growing my children opened my eyes to the need for an independant school that would offer learners a variety of learning experiences and the same quality education that would cause us to take our children to neighbouring towns and cities so that they would receive good education. I wanted to solve the problem of disadvantaged children being deprived of the same quality education that a child from the city would have access to.
The underlining purpose and passion I have is exposing communities and our young ones to Godly values and characters at a young age, grooming a generation that will inspire change and be a better gem in the community.
